How do you reboot a quantum computer?
Welcome to my TED talk about quantum computing.
Now that quantum computers are a definite maybe, the first thing we need to know is how to reboot them. The experts have come up with a shortcut; press and hold these keys:
Coh+Quant+Ctrl+😺+☠️This will allow you to regain coherent quantum control of your computer.
As you can see, the quantum keyboard will have lots of new keys, e.g., “Coh” for coherence, etc… The rest is self-evident…
Anyway, I can't wait for this. These old-fashioned computers are pathetic—most of my keys are giving me incoherent gibberish.
Now, I'm not an expert, but my understanding was you just needed to observe it with intense disdain until the wave function collapses.
An alternative theory states that a QC will achieve decoherence by itself once it manages to produce any practically usable results, which to my knowledge hasn't yet happened.
…i just tossed mine into a swamp - appears to be working correctly now…
